Mongolian Mint & Lime Steak Salad

This dish pairs the robust, savory taste of tender minted beef with the bright, tangy notes of lime, creating a vibrant and refreshing meal.
The texture of this salad is as exciting as its flavours. Vegetables such as lettuce or mixed greens add a refreshing crunch, while the cherry tomatoes burst with juiciness. Thinly sliced cucumbers and red onions contribute additional layers of crispness and a slight sharpness. Then when you add the Lime vinagerette it all just comes together in one big fresh, bold and delishly Summer Dish.
Ingredients
RECIPE SERVES: 4 as a side salad
BBQ Steak Marinade Ingredients:
2x rump steaks or steaks of your choice
3 tablespoons olive oil
Generous sprinkle of Taipan BBQ Mongolian Mint Rub
Salad Ingredients:
Handful fresh salad leaves of your choice
2 large tomatoes, sliced
1 lebanese cucumber, sliced
1 small red onion, peeled and sliced into rings
Handful fresh coriander and mint le
Loco Lime Glaze Vinegarette:
½ cup Taipan BBQ Loco Lime Glaze
3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
Preheat a BBQ.
In a large bowl, rub the steak with olive oil and the Mongolian Mint Rub.
When the BBQ is at temperature, place the steak on the BBQ and cook on one side for 2 ½
minutes with the lid down before turning to cook the second side for the exact same time.
Transfer the steak to a plate and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
To make the salad, arrange the salad ingredients in a salad bowl or over a large platter / tray.
The dressing ingredients can be whisked together in a small bowl or shaken well in a small jar
with a lid to combine.
Drizzle the salad with the Loco Lime Dressing to serve
